Crampons for Millet Everest

by langer318 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:06 pm

I'm heading to Denali for the West Buttress in a few weeks and am debating crampons for my Millet Everest's I currently have BD Sabertooth Pros that are pretty worn down and a brand new pair of BD Contact Straps. I know I can get a brand new pair of Grivel G12s and they would work great but I'm wondering if it’s worth the cost or can I make do with what I have. Thoughts? Opinions?

Contact straps would be just fine.

Don't forget you can hybridize the two to get freshies up front and the bail on the back for a more secure feeling.

Ditto for the straps. I also had and old set of Footfangs that I got to work great with my Millets. Sold years ago, though, so no pictures.
