Dana Design/marmot Wet Rib?

by Mountainjeff » Wed Dec 01, 2010 6:35 pm

The Wet Rib is sadly no longer produced. Does anyone know of a suitable alternative?

The Dana Wet Rib is a great piece of gear. I've got one large and one small, that I switch around between packs as needed. It's so convenient to have all those misc items right at your fingertips, instead of having to take off your pack and dig around looking for them. Always wondered why they weren't more popular.

A number of SAR guys in my area use them, which is why I am trying to find one. First-air is so much easier when all the gear is on your waist belt. I get tired of having to drop my pack and dig out my kit.

FYI, Dana is back in pack-making business under "Mystery Ranch" label. Maybe you can find something similar there: http://www.mysteryranch.com/ The very least, you can ask them to start making them again - sounds like a great accessory.

I know I had one and never used it but I can't remember if I gave it to my friend when I sold him my Terraplane or not. :?

I'm sure I still have it. Where the hell did I see that last? F*ck, a lot of useless gear to go through. :x

Tell you what, if you're doing SAR work send me your email address and if I find the f'in thing it's yours for free.
