These birds don't normally fly at night -- they have terrible vision. Fireworks scared them out of their night roosts forcing them to essentially fly blind in to all sorts of objects. The blunt force trauma caused severe internal injury resulting in death due to hemorrhaging.

I'm at a loss for all the dead fish on the other side of the state.

When there is a terrible event that affects the environment, ie;, wildlife, sea life, plant life, ozone, etc, it's the Republicans!! Blame us!

Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" lead to changes that saved wildlife. This modern day book should also be taken seriously:

Now HUNDREDS more birds fall from the sky in Kentucky and Louisiana and tens of THOUSANDS of dead fish wash ashore

First blackbirds in Arkansas. Now jackdaws drop in Sweden. A common cause?
