RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army Aviation pilots have rescued two foreign mountaineers from Baltoro Glacier on Sunday.
The two climbers Donald Allen Bowie from United States of America and Lotta Henriikka Nakyva from Finland were part of the International Winter Expedition attempting to summit Broad Peak. The climbers were stranded at Baltoro Glacier en-route to the Broad Peak due to sickness.
It is here to mention that four pilots of Pakistan Army were awarded the French military medals for rescuing a French mountaineer from the Nanga Parbat in 2018.
