Not that this would happen, but I think there ought to be a period after you join where you can't post stuff, or a stratified posting system where you can start by posting pics and in the forums before you can post pages. I know the guidelines sort of imply that, but it is not enforeced, and consequently, we have the clowns and their pages.

All I want for Christmas next year is to be an Elf for a day so I can delete all the empty, incomplete, and poorly done pages on this site, plus the people who make them. :twisted:

Maybe we should allow a new page category, Duplicate Pages, for people who would like to contribute to it. I mean posting the same page several times despite all the deletes probably makes people really unhappy, and I am not sure if it is a decent karma to make them suffer for such a silly infraction. Let the dupes live, just lock their page type and voila.

I'm not sure why the last guy (Olymbus, Olympus, Olympos) had so much trouble, but I theorize:
--he doesn't read/write English too well and doesn't really get the rules;
--he doesn't realize he has a local PM account to check;
--transliteration from Greek leads to imperfect searches;
--he really wants to sign the register and add pictures.

Possibly, he just keeps wondering why his pages disappear. Did anyone actually have a two-way conversation with him?

I just sent him an e-mail suggesting that he really wants to sign the register for the existing Mt Olympus page. Has anyone gotten a response from this guy?

I think he should be banned if he keeps posting the same empty page for Mount Olympus in Greece. He's just not getting the hint.
