Everest permits

by jrowe025 » Tue Oct 07, 2008 6:13 pm

I am planning on a Everest attempt in 2012. What are the steps to getting a permit? I heard you don't have to buy a complete permit, but you can buy part of one off another climbing team, is this true?

If you're planning on ascending from the Tibet side you might want to contact Dawa Sherpa of Asian Trekking at dawasherpa@asian-trekking.com. They provide various levels of support to climbers from minimalist to all-inclusive full board.
