From Cheyenne Canon or Old Stage Road?

I've been in California a week and don't know what kind of snow you've gotten. Other places to consider that might be more mileage but equal if not less drive time than up Old Stage would be the Crags, Horsethief Park & Pancake Rocks, and Mt. Herman.

I was up there a few days ago with my wife. There's not enough snow for snowshoeing. It's pretty packed down.
