Jumping Jack Flash, it's a .. gas .. gas .. gas ...

Flagstaff has around 8-12 in most places. We were supposed to get double that amount last night and today but then that system moved east and hit New Mexico instead. Bleh :/ We hiked up some of the runs at the Arizona Snowbowl last Saturday and they had 2.5 feet of fresh pow.

Scotland just had the worst storm for over a decade. The remote Northern Highlands, and The Cairngorms received a good plastering, with blizzard conditions. Summit of Cairngorm windspeed 165mph.

Looks like we missed the brunt of this latest storm. Only got about 5" on the east side of town. Foothills and south were supposed to get much more.

My reliable sources (in Utah) tell me that "La Nina" has something to do with the current weather patterns.

For gosh sake ... you caught me playing with my Yule log and downing more Spiced eggnog ... shame on you!

The Kelvin scale is named after the Belfast-born, Glasgow University engineer and physicist William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin (1824–1907), who wrote of the need for an "absolute thermometric scale".

Take that! Wikipedia knows all!
