Latest photos of Mineral King Area

I know you can read the charts for more accurate totals, yada yada... but I like to check in on these photos from time to time. Looks like the western slopes will be releasing plenty of H2O this spring and we just added a foot or two more!

Also a cool vid I never noticed.

Aside from whitney, MK was one of my first and favorite places as a teen. My Dad took me there a few times and I did my first solo, "runaway" hike there, almost making it to my goal of Whitney, but somehow getting lost, turning around, getting lost and then finally, lost and sort of found . . . but I've never been there or seen it like this.

How do you get back there––snow mobile??

I mean.. I love Mineral King! I look up at Sawtooth everyday from here in Visalia. Dreaming of when the snow melts and we can get back up there..

Sweet SJD!!! That reminds me of when someone in a bigfoot suit walked in front of the Yosemite webcam a few years ago.
