Lost backpack or person on Clear Creek, Mt Shasta

by clmbr » Mon Aug 11, 2014 7:19 pm

On August 9th, 2014, I saw this backpack on the way up. I thought someone left it temporarily to make the summit; although, it was a bit low. On the way down the backpack was still there. I was basically the last person on the summit and did not see any potential owner of this backpack. Just posting this in case if someone might be reported missing.

Also I saw a lot of trash that day on this route, including wag bags, partial crampons and trekking poles and empty disposable bottles, to mention a few.

PLEASE DO NOT TRASH MT SHASTA!!!

I was last seen wearing a backpack like this in 1965. Neither it, nor me wearing it, has been seen since.

What was in it?

Probably spider eggs.

That was the old pack Hillary wore before he upgraded.

Has there been a glacial recession recently? Oh wait, that pack is older than 2004.
