Mountaineering Course - French Alps

by cabouckaert1 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:50 pm

I would like to do a 5-10 day mountaineering course this summer somewhere around the chamonix area. Preferably not too expensive and in french. Anybody have any suggestions? I couldn't really find anything that was exactly what I wanted. Thanks in advance.

Another link.

You may also want to try the Courmayeur Guides. They offer courses, and they should all speak French. Only problem is if you are the only participant in the course who does not speak Italian. It may be worth inquiring, though.

Are you a member of any Flemish/Belgian Alpine Clubs, like KBF? They offer courses and training and being a member you get insurance for SAR, third party etc.

A late reply, but unless youve already booked something, have a look at ucpa.fr. Awesome value for money, I did a mountaineering course with them last summer and was well happy afterwards!
