Recently, the snow rangers have been describing the crevasse dangers in Tuckerman's, particularly in the area where the victim fell. If you are headed up there, check in with the rangers or the caretaker at Hermit Lake to get the latest report. Conditions sound pretty sketchy in spots right now.
