A couple years ago I watched a documentary about about a team climbing a large (1000ft) limestone tower - I rise from amidst a dense rainforest (Indonesia?) and required a few days trek to get to. I am wondering if anybody knows what I am talking about? If so, do you have any information on the ascent and particularly the names of the ascentionist? I am looking to get a hold of them.

I learned that the mobile communication will be possilbe aournd Muztagh ata area soon, for the goverment is puting up the transmitting station along Korakoram highway.Since this June you may use mobiles.

Muztagh ata BC and the mountain area around it will be possible too.Before the climbers have to bring a satellite phone,but is very expensive. It is much cheaper to use Chinese mobiles.
It will be very convenient for climbers to contact ...

A few years back I remember reading a National Geographic article about Everest and it stated that there is a dump site on Everest. In fact it is the highest dump site in the world, containing old oxygen tanks, abandoned tents, and a ton of other miscilaneous items from previous assents.
