Anyone have a GPS route mapped out for the west buttress that they care to share? I had this for aconcagua and it was great for my piece of mind.

I know a lot has been said on the capability of these boots for Denali. TAT just posted a pic of Steve House unloading on the glacier wearing Spantiks, Good enough for Steve.....?

I must say its awesome that I can go climbing every weekend. I've been doing some of the immediate peaks around Anchorage while there is still snow on them.

Looking for prices on heli-taxi service for a climb or three in the Canadian Rockies, Mt. Alberta and friends. Anybody have any good recommendations? Price wins the day.. shady/drunk pilots of questionable licensing status perfectly welcome (and I'm only half kidding).

What do you guys recommend to secure your tents? (If it matters, I've got two tents: ev2 and a northface mountain 25).

Books and trip reports say snow stakes, but aren't exactly very specific about them. Would love a recommnedation as I have not found anything on amazon or backcountry.com that really impressed me or looked much different than the steaks that came with my tent.

Should I expect any rain on the mountain? I know there will be lots of snow and stormy weather, but does it (ever) get buckets of rain instead?

1) Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on an affordable shelter/tent for cooking and hanging out. I was thinking of actually going with something fairly cheap (Coleman) as my life wouldn't depend on this tent.

We are two people, so do not need anything huge. I refuse to spend more than 200 dollars.

2) Does anyone have decent route for the west buttress on GPS? I know I shouldnt follow it blindly. ...

Can someone walk me through the ski setup? I have La Sportiva Spantiks. Should i just bring a pair of old beater alpine skis with normal alpine bindings (assuming they work with the spantiks)? I could also bring my cross country skis and boots or telemarking gear instead? They are lighter and probably more comfortable than going uphill in my spantiks and regular alpine skis. Might make a nice boot for lower part of the ...

I am doing some research on Denali and want to know if anyone has any information on Dr. Miri Ercolani who was supposedly the first solo female to climb Denali. She did this in 1982. I am also interested in communicating with anyone who knew my friend, Alan Chase, who disappeared on Denali in 1980.
