Is late November too early for general snow and snow couloir climbs in Colorado? Is the snow stable enough for climbing? I am planning to drive up to Colorado from Houston during the thanksgiving week. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Me and my partner were doing Boundary Peak (NV) earlier this summer and we came across a group of what we believed wild horses in the Boundary Peak Wilderness. It was at the upper end of the meadow you hike through at the beginnig of the Trail Canyon Route. It was group of 6 or 7 horses with one stallion, a foal and another pregnant horse. Looking to climb either some easy trad in Yosemite valley (weather permitting), or (preferably) an Alpine route as far north as Shasta, but willing to go to east side of Sierra as well.
Hit me up if anyone is looking for an experience alpine climber or rock climbing partner this weekend....

Went to Ouray this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it, but didn't get to really do much hiking ...
I am planning to climb Lake Peak, in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range, during Thanksviging weekend. Have any of you folks climbed this peak during this time before? I was wondering how the weather will be up there as well as the amount of snow that I could come across? Also, is the trail relatively easy to follow? Is a topo map needed?
