If I spend $1000 on boots (or $400 on $1000 boots) they had better have the name of an extraterrestrial mountain, not be made of the skin of a terrestrial flightless bird.

Now that's the kind of shit I would be strutting as I leave from the disco in Aspen to get back to my chalet before my big day droppin' 10'000' vertical in one day, bro!

I would have bought them if they had an Ostrich head coming out of the toe of the boot like the head on the front of a Viking ship. Otherwise they are just too ugly. :D

EMS has the worst merchandising decision makers. Been trying to buy a frikkin Petzl ice clipper for ages - they never have them in stock. They sell Petzl harnesses like crazy, why can't they stock up on the Petzl caritools?

Maybe if it had the skins of more different animals I'd buy it, especially the endangered ones.

Seriously, what the hell is up with this boot?

Too bad no penguin skin. You know that sucker'd be insulating and waterproof.

Yep, for when GWB visits his parents up in Kennebunkport.
