What attracted you to the sport? Did some family or friends take you on a trip? Did you enjoy climbing a wall? Everybody has their own story.
I went skiing when I was in the fourth grade and fell in love with mountains. In 2010 I went to Alaska and lived going around the mountain views. Then I thought to myself "I wonder how these pictures would be if I took them from the opposite angle". So I decided to do some research here and last month I went for Guadalupe Peak. When I got up there, I just felt this wave of excitement unlike any before. Now I can't forget that feeling and I want it again. And the pictures were great.

Marmots! I just can't get enough of those food stealing little furry love balls.

It was the 1963 edition of the National Geographic that featured the American Everest expedition. Once I read it I knew it was something I wanted to do. Later, I attended a basic rock climbing class and that was it. I was hooked for life. I don't do anything hard anymore but I still love climbing class 3 and 4 peaks.

My natural habitat attracted my. Plus being stripped from civilization was a relief.

For me it was seeing others taking a rock climbing lesson out on Dartmoor in England, I thought that looks fun and gave it a go!

Am I the only person who was attracted by the views and feeling of achievement than anything?

For sure. view, achievements too. Relying on oneself.

Basically our natural habitat attracted me.

Darn little critters foiled one of my wall climbs in Yosemite by stealing most of our food the first night.

As I get older I realize more and more that my ADHD probably spurred my interest in climbing. It's an excellent outlet for my excessive physical energy.

It will definitely burn excess energy.
