Hello,
I'm writing to you on behalf of a private collector who found three boxes of old glassplate photographs on a flea market in England. After some painstaking research, I established that they were taken by a couple of English alpine plant-hunters who, over several years between the late 1920s-early 1930s, visited the regions of Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgaria. Alpine regions visited include: Durmitor, Rumija, Rila, Rhodope, Ljuboten, Prenj, etc.
I am trying to establish the approximate location where the photographs were taken. A map showing the photographs which have alread been mapped can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1q7JdXuFm-1W0zgqpfOjAkOScfTSyPdJu&usp=sharing.
I would be grateful for any help in locating the remaining photographs, which can be seen here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AnFVPzXXMayUnnWVi_Zya4OWZR5S. Note that some photographs may have been accidentally flipped horizontally due to the scanning process!
For those interested in cities, villages and people, I have more photographs to identify here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AnFVPzXXMayUnisWEiJV4qk86P3i
Any help would be greatly appreciated! The results will be posted on a non-commercial website (http://www.lost-balkans.com/).
