I like to gather a group to climb Olancha peak in the month of June 2019. I plan to depart on a Thursday by 9 am from LA area in a rented 4x4 full size truck to Monache Meadows. The camp out at 8000 feet , no bathrooms nor faucets there. On Friday just kick back , eat and sleep, may be wait for more hikers to arrive. Saturday at 2 to 3 am depart from my campsite with my garmin etrex 20x and my headlights . Be back by nightfall. Then either start driving back on Saturday night or Sunday. Anyone interested would need to come along with their own 4x4. I might make an exception if we have room in our truck. I play pool every other Saturday in Bellflower around 8 pm if you want to get to know who you would be kiking with. Please contact me and I will let you know what Thursday in June i plan to go. I just think it would be safer to go up in a group than alone.
