Corno Grande main summit

by Luciano136 » Tue Sep 18, 2018 10:03 pm

I will be in Italy and want to tag Corno Grande. Just wondering if it's technical at all? The page mentions "one step II" but I have no idea what that means

Ended up doing the Via Normale and in case anyone else wonders, it's a nice class 1 trail with the upper part of the mountain being an enjoyable (and well marked) class 2 scramble. Highly recommended!

I was at Corno Grande in 2018. a great mountain tour! There are three routes.
The north face is the most difficult route. You should be able to climb II. UIAA without a rope.
We climbed the west ridge and descended the normal route. This is much easier - UIAA I.
The tour was one of the most beautiful I have ever done. Infos, pictures; video and GPS track =>
