In case you haven't heard, all state parks are closed in Illinois and Wisconsin due to the coronavirus pandemic. I'm sure it's the same for many of the other parks in the Midwest. Be sure to check the current status before you plan a trip to any of the parks in this area.

Same here in Florida all state parks closed. Nature Reserves and Wildlife Management Areas are on county by county basis. Got burnt this weekend bringing family down to Polk County for a hike only to be closed. Found something else luckily a county over that was good enough.

I have booked a long weekend of adventure around Lake Superior this summer hopefully won’t have to cancel.

Isle Royale NP is Closed Through June 14, 2020 Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Isle Royale and its surrounding islands are closed to all visitors. All islands reopen June 15, 2020. The Houghton Visitor Center is scheduled to reopen May 18, 2020

Visitor Centers & Headquarters are Temporarily Closed. Camping Suspended until May 4th.
The park remains open to visitors year-round. The Rainy Lake Visitor Center and Park Headquarters are temporarily closed, and camping is suspended until May 4th. These closures will be evaluated continually as conditions evolve.

Just got email Isle Royale closed for full season. enjoy the time off i will visit you someday. my superior summer adventure trip cancelled as is so many others folks plans and vacations

The covid situation in USA is grim yet there is no lockdown. Vaccine is not effective against Omicron variant.
