A few years back I remember reading a National Geographic article about Everest and it stated that there is a dump site on Everest. In fact it is the highest dump site in the world, containing old oxygen tanks, abandoned tents, and a ton of other miscilaneous items from previous assents.

This article was written some time ago and I was wondering if anyone with more recent knowledge could confirm if this dumpsite is still there. If so I hope that you could give me more information on the subject.
