I was just making sure that I would be able to get a ride up to Piedra Grande from Tlachichuca all year round. I will be heading up to Pico on March 22 and I know this is late in the season. Just wanted to make sure the trip wouldnt be ruined when I got to Tlachichuca.

Also Since Im flying into Mexico City with a group of four people, would I be better hiring a driver to take our group from Mexico City to Tlachichca and split the cost 4 ways? Or is it a better idea to take public transportation? Your help would be much appreciated!!!

I've been to Tlachichuca twice in late March - you can definitely get a ride up to Piedra Grande. I don't know about sharing costs for private transportation, but public transportation is pretty painless and inexpensive. One change in Puebla from Mexico City is all I think.
