Gredos special number in Pyrenaica Magazine

by kabernicola » Fri Jun 20, 2008 10:49 am

It´s already in the street...a special number in pyrenaica magazine (the oficial magazine of the basque mountaneering federation) about one of our most beloved massiffs in the center of the iberan peninsula...It looks very interesting and the articles issues vary from hiking to ice or rock climbing. A "must" for Gredos lovers (in spanish).

You can see the summary in the link provided in my initial post. Unfortunatly desnivel never published an special number just for Gredos, It Had to be Pyrenaica!!...For people like you, a specialist ,there is not going to be too many new, but I think the articles are interesting enough for everybody, both specialists in the massiff and people who just want to discover these amazing mountains, for hikers and climbers as well!

kabernikola, I refered to Grandes Espacios (Desnivel Publishing House) #131, and #75 with special issues about Gredos. Desnivel #259 and #197 have special articles about Gredos too

grandes espacios is not related with climbing....and desnivel never dedicated a whole special magazine to the main mountain range in the center of spain....they prefer articles coming from abroad, you know, the ones coming from the current mountain stars instead of promoting our close mountains...its a shame but it´s like that!

But you said that it looks very interesting and the articles issues vary from hiking to ice or rock climbing. A "must" for Gredos lovers (in spanish). So I understood the articles are not only about climbing...

Exactly, a must for Gredos lovers....not only for hikers....but for everybody climbers and hikers as well....written by some of the best massif specialists....It never was a monographic like this in any other spanish magazine...grandes espacios is JUST for multi-adventure sport people...I don´t consider it as a mountanier´s magazine...

Sorry, "Outdoor" is the Desnivel publications magazine for multisport, "Grandes Espacios" is about hiking

I could be late for buying that mag. It's not so common in Madrid. Is it the June issue :?:
