Cactus to Clouds conditions?

by Diggler » Wed Oct 14, 2009 7:12 pm

Did the storm we experienced up in The Bay make its way down there at all? If so, what is the snow situation? Snow up high? If so, what elevation? Miserable post-holing or energy-consuming powder at a certain elevation & above, or standard hiking expected? Is the tramway still open? Beta appreciated.

The tramway is running. The storm did not drop any snow in the San Jacintos the last I heard.

It did not look like san G got any snow. I can't really talk about san jac. because I was not able to see it from school today. My guess is there is no snow.

It's like dropping the bucket into the well and coming up dry. Too bad. We need some local fun spots!
