Well, he has a big-arse fan strapped to his hind-side :lol: The fan and motor look a lot lighter than the ones that I had seen used in the early '90's. Turns a non-motorized ultralight into, well, a motorized ultralight. Cool video.

Most of the altitude gain is from thermals, which can be extreme with bright sun and cold mountains.

According to the GPS track, I went up from 3600m to 6625m in 11 min in a very strong thermal.


Sounds like a recipe for HACE to me. Scary.
