Has this ever been done? I've heard mention of a CA and CO gathering, but I wasn't sure if anything has ever taken place closer to my neck of the woods. From what I gather, there is a substantial number of serious climbers in the Midwest. We just happen to be less concentrated than they are in some of the climbing "capitals."

I believe there was a meeting last year at Devils Lake, WI, that I did not attend, since I had just moved here. But I was also thinking if it would be possible to pull something off again this here. Maybe again at Devils Lake?

i know the CMC spends a lot of time at at Devil's Lake, so that sounds logical. there are so many possible locations for a midwest gathering... the red.... the new.... jackson falls... john bryant.... the list goes on.

personally, i could use a weekend away from the wife.... climbing.... drinking beer.... eating GOOD food.

One was organized in the fall, but a bunch of people couldn't go. I'd like to meet you guys at the Lake this spring. I'm guiding from the middle of June til early August, so a mid to late May date would work well for me.

i could go anytime before may 24 (start of summer semester...yeah ). if someone were willing to throw a date on the calender, im almost positive that i could make it work. however, i have a sneaking suspicion that this would end up being one of those endeavors that shows a lot of promise "right out of the gate," but lacks the momentum to endure. anyone willing to commit?

It depends where it is and what my business travel schedule looks like. If I can drive there on a Friday it's possible I could come to a weekend get-together.

How about Saturday Aug 14th...S or N dakota?
