Catskills Info.

by beaudittl » Mon Jun 14, 2010 12:16 am

Hey all. I'm usually hiking in the High Peaks area, but am looking to head to the Catskills. I want to climb Slide and Hunter, and am curious if it is at all feasible to do both in one day. Thank you for any info. Happy trails, Cheers!

Of course it could be done in a day, Hunter via becker hollow and Slide via Slide Mountain Road/ Phoenicia-East Branch Trail, driving between the two. Both easy trails. Just start early.

But why? satisfying a list or altitude requirement?

There are better ways to spend a day in the Catskills Like the Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide loop.

Ya, I'm thinking of trying to do the Northeast 115.
