Does anyone know how to put on this full body kids Monkey harness by Singing Rock? I bought a used one for my son, but don't have the instructions for it.

Padded loops are for the legs. The plastic strap holder should be center of the back. Adjust the buckles for the height of the child. Tie in directly to the loops at the center of the chest.

The picture at the link you posted should show the correct orientation.

The leg loops are labeled right and left, but when we put them on the padded part was on the front of his leg. Shouldn't the padded part be on the back? Maybe this one has a manufacturing defect. Other than that I think we managed to get it on correctly. He had fun, and it seemed solid.

I would just request the proper instructions from the company, being absolutely sure would give me peace of mind...

It says right on the webpage in the link you provided:

Maybe you have the harness inside out or backwards? The "Right" and "Left" tags should be facing out when worn correctly. The small elastic loop should be facing in towards the back.

I have the directions that come with the harness, they are the same as on Singing Rock's website.

I didn't see instructions on their website. I went to products-harnesses-children and then clicked on the one that looked like mine. Where did you find the instructions?

I've contacted the company, but haven't received a response yet.

Also, what is the purpose of that loop in the back?

The two loops (and the adjusting metal buckles on the shoulder straps) should be on the front/chest of the kid for tying in. The "X" of the harness should be on the back on the child.

The padding should be on the back of the legs
