Surgery :?: It's worse when siting or lying much time. On friday I visited a doctor and after watching my radiographs he said that I could have two protuberances on my column but he doesn't think they are hernias. The first would be on vertebra C4 and the other between T4 and T6 but he isn't going to say me anything before I show him my RMI photos. He said that I'd benefit from myofascial release. Indeed he was massaging my back a bit and pulling my neck softly. He said that the fact that my left forearm and hand hurt and tingle are related to a tender point in the left rhomboids and a stiff teres major muscle. Any thoughts :?:

Yo, Borut! This is what happens when llamas take too much magnesium.

One of the many so-called "side effects" that Doctors seldom warn you about !

Diego, Calcium-Magnesium works great for me. I take the powdered kind that disolves in hot water. I take it right after a day of heavy pulling, trekking etc. Wake up the next morning, ready to kill.

Well, you've exceeded my knowledge of the subject at this point. Sorry I can't help more. I have not heard anything on this method that you mention.

For what it is worth, my husband's back issue was at C4, also. He is just taking it easy.
Lifting anything heavy is an issue for him, so we've scaled back some activities (like putting the sailboat in the water ourselves, etc.).

Have you gone to a back specialist or just an ordinary internist? I would hunt down the best doctor in your area that specializes in spinal injuries.

That type of massage is frequently used nowadays but I'm following your advices and I haven't gone to the physiotherapist again.

Friday's doctor is a rehabilitation specialist but not an expert on spinal injuries. I'll also try not to pull big weights. What more cares does your husband follow :?: I'm considering on buying more magnesium effervescent tablets for the stiff muscles but I won't take more calcium if I probably have protuberances on my vertebras.

Thanks again tiger

Doctors have made me the RMI today. The sound into it is trully disgusting and the room tiny. In 15 days my doctor will receive the photos and I'll probably know something about what causes my pain

It's confirmed that I have a slipped disc between C6 and C7. At least it's anterior but I'm a bit sad today :(

Did they give you options? Does a microdiskectomy look useful?

Tiger, that's so useful. I must be optimistic and not dull as I am with such pain. It's somehow difficult but I must do it

Kudos to Tigerlily. Good Luck to OP. Get a GOOD surgeon for a consultation; ask athlete friends, and query physical therapists for their opinions about the best surgeons. They see a lot of botched jobs.

For my wife, a microdiskectomy in the lower spine was day surgery, and the pain was gone after. For my boss, a collapsed subarachnoid space in the cervical spine put him in the hospital for about 2 weeks. It varies a lot!

What's OP :?:

I must to wait my doctor to come from holidays so I'm taking the pils he's said and putting ice in the area when it hurts the most. It's somehow hard but I could be improving with time and those cares. Perhaps when doctors come from holidays I could be attended by a overhaul specialist
