As you will most likely be when you are my age! And please don't even try and say that you won't be.

Don't forget cocky & persnickety well. Pride myself on them two I do.

I certainly might. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Anyways. I gotta question maybe you can answer. You been on either Blue Diamond Ridge or Sentimental Journey on Wilson in RR?

- You been on either Blue Diamond Ridge or Sentimental Journey on Wilson in RR?

- Then don't slamming anyone for something that you may just one day become as well.

- Be more specific and don't assume shit with me.

The best dude for info here on SP for any of that RR non-tech stuff is this dude.... cp0915. He has written a couple of GB's for just that kind of adventurous stuff in the RR's. PM him as he would love to share his knowledge and experience. Unlike me, he is a consistent NICE GUY and not an ARROGANT PERSNICKETY BASTARD!

I'll slam you as I see fit. And assume as I see fit. Don't take it so seriously buddy!!

That was pretty specific. Those are the routes names on Mount Wilson in Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. I would like to climb them, and with your arrogant old man experience I thought maybe you would have climbed them. If so, any information is appreciated. If not, it's all good dude.

Thanks for link to other dude. I'll ask him as well.

...ummmm exactly why I want it to stay the way it is

Hehe, I see where you are coming from. However, what is wrong with putting in one glorious trail to allow folks to enjoy the entire south face given that all the other drainages are a thrash as well? You still can battle your way up either fork of Bairs Creek and Williamson Creek (I heard worse than George Creek...Chief perhaps you have gone up Williamson Cr. from its confluence with Shepard Cr.?).

Having 'quick' (meaning minimal thrashing through foliage) access to George Creek would allow development/enjoyment of great ski and climbing routes on the south face of willy as well as good access to fine rock climbing on Barnard and its neighboring walls. Trail management is critical to minimize ecological disturbance. Are five rogue trails resulting in George Cr. erosion and loss of flora a good thing? Especially when we could have one nice trail? I don't think throngs will amass to climb the 2nd highest peak in CA, so it should be a relatively minor increase in traffic. Plus, you can still suffer all you want on the NE Ridge or on the various N face routes!
I got a shovel, a pick, a couple transportable saws; lets build!

And a more enjoyable access to the new routes that I plan on putting up on this Wall....

My bad on the thread hi-jack.

Back to Williamson. I really would like to climb the long twisted rib this summer and the ne ridge next winter.

Chief: Barnard? Nice. Let me know if you want help with trailwork this spring/summer. All I got is weekends but I'm down for that cause. Seems like keeping traffic in one area definitely does less damage.

I have been up George Creek twice (dayhikes of Barnard and Trojan), both times hiking the lower few miles in the dark, and had almost no problems with bushwhacking. I have no idea why these guys had so much difficulty. If I remember correctly there are only three creek crossings necessary.

I believe that this valley will never see as much traffic as the NF route to Whitney. I think it should be kept untouched initially to see if erosion problems even develop and only if so, start to build some trail.

I went up Tuttle Creek and the NE Couloir of Langley last March. The very top of the Couloir is around 50-degree. I down climbed facing in. Here are some pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=5 ... 3f3788ab19

I've gone up George Creek three times. It really isn't that bad.
