swollen fingers, ice climbing

by lelf » Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:33 pm

Hey !

i had this problem for a couple weeks now: after a day on the ice my pinky and the side of my hands are swelling. it is usualy stiff by the end of the day and completely out of order the next morning (i cant bend it, therefore cant grab the tool to climb...) I climb maybe twice a week and i switched to leashless this season (nomics) any idea what could cause that ? It is now at the point where it hurts all day when i climb and it reduce my climbing abilities cause i get pumped way faster...If any of you experienced something similar let me know ! Cause ? Solution ?

Are you bashing your hands into the ice or into the pinky rest on your tool?
