Looking at Newmatic Crampons for Ice/Mixed

by Luc » Tue Mar 08, 2011 7:30 pm

Next step after I got my Scarpa Charmoz, is to get technical crampons for them...
The only ones out there that I can find with replaceable, modular (mono/dual/offset) front points are:
Black Diamond Cyborg
Grivel G14

I'm more trending towards the Grivel, any insights?

btw, does anyone have micro adjust bails that could fit on the Charlet Moser Super 12?

Petzl M10 can go two or mono point but it has a toe bail wire. Seems like the Charmoz are not really enough boot for ice and mixed; I'm pretty sure they are only 3/4 shank. I ice climbed in Trango Evos for years and that 3/4 shank sure wore my feet out!
