Mt. Adams Fire

by philoparts » Sun Jul 31, 2011 10:05 pm

Just got word from my folks, looks like a fire below the old Cold Springs fire to the East. Not sure of details, but they had lightning a few days back, now its hot and windy.

Forgot to add, my folks are in Glenwood, so thats the angle they have on the mountain. Just guessing, but might be closer to Bird Creek.

Best of luck to all firefighting personnel involved in this one. Hope they can contain it before it escalates into a Monster.

Are you sure it isn't the remains of last year's fire? Sounds like the exact same area.

Farther East and lower elevation. I just got back in town so I haven't heard any more about it.
