What was the name of the bookseller in Boulder who bought and sold mountaineering books? Thanks ! L.

Probably not what you're looking for but the first place that comes to mind is Neptune's (off Broadway & Table Mesa). They've a HUGE literature section.
I believe there's a place down on Pearl Street as well. Don't remember what it's called.

Chessler is in Evergreen, but I have to give them a plug. They've got a great selection of obscure mountaineering guides, maps, etc. and they ship promptly.

I haven't ordered from Chessler in a few years, but they used to have real problems getting orders right. I have had to call them after they lost my order. Two other times, they shipped me the same order twice (once I was charged twice, once I was charged once.) They always made things right (overnighted the lost order, reversed charges for the duplicate order), so I was generally happy with them.

This goes against my better judgement as a fly fisherman, but the coolest place I've found is Red Letter Books...the mountaineering section is in the back corner
