Estes Park Area Lodges/Cabins

by MarkDidier » Sun Jan 15, 2012 6:56 pm

Looking for some firsthand recommendations on good lodges/cabins in the Estes Park area. This is for a trip my wife and I are planning for the summer of 2013 (I have planned on celebrating my 50th birthday in RMNP for some time now) and we may have a fairly large number of friends and family with us and she is trying to do some research now. From online searches it looks like there are a number of options...so some firsthand recommendations are appreciated to help us narrow things down. I am familiar with Mary's Lake Lodge (ate there haven't stayed) but that is about it.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

I recommend Solitude Cabins: http://www.solitudecabins.com/

My husband and I stayed there one snowy late winter / early spring with my Mom & Dad and we all loved it. Our cabin was spacious and outfitted beautifully. The "neighborhood" is quiet and nicely removed from the hustle and bustle despite being very close to everything.

Enjoy!

Have stayed there a number of times but haven't found anything I'd recommendation for you Mark.

The Lake Lodge on Lake Estes might be an option particularly if you're going to have a party for your B-day.

Stayed at Mary's Lake Lodge once and found the accomodations nice (stayed in their condo type cabins) but less than thrilled with the setting.

Sarah's place sounds like a good one!
