November?

by Stu Brandel » Sat Sep 01, 2012 8:06 pm

Here I sit working the entire Labor Day weekend on the culmination of a 12 month project. While I work, I thought I could get you working on ideas on trip possibilities once I am able to take some time off in... November.

I hike and scramble, class 3 with a bit of 4 now and then, but I am not proficient on anything more than manageable snowfields.

So what is still ideal in November in the US/Canada? Or must I wait until late October weather patterns to tell?

And oh yeah, I live near Chicago and love not to spend money.

Get a cheap ticket to LAX, a cheap rental car, and head up into the San Gabriels and/or San Bernadino mountains, or anyplace else in SOCAL or AZ.

Arizona's pretty laid back in November.

It's only 350 miles from Las Vegas. You can hang out with the New Age freaks in Sedona ..
