I saw 4 mountain goats in the Pioneer range(Idaho) this last weekend. They were only 150 yards from my tent!
First time I have ever seen 'em in the wild.

Our food was stored in bear cannisters so they wouldn't have gotten it anyway, but hopefully the frightening experience will deter the cubs from trying it when they grow up.

Spotted one of these awesome vultures while hiking in the Vermilion Cliffs of northern AZ earlier this year.
Didn't get a good picture, so pulled this one off the Internet. As of October 2010, the wild condor population in its name state of California reached 100 individuals, and 73 wild condors in Arizona.
So, guess they're bouncing back.
