Diablo Five Peaks

by ScottyP » Sun Nov 25, 2012 4:08 am

I was chatting with someone on here last week about the Five Peaks and total distance etc.. Since nuclear winds at 12k kept me from getting to Shasta today I went to Diablo. Attached is the GPS run from my Garmin for the Five Peaks from Mitchell.

p.s. The time is not relevent as I was not only carrying a 50# training pack, but also shooting a lot of photos as this was my first to climb on Diablo without rain, snow or overcast! Pretty Place! Also, a few times I took a more direct route (Main Summit) and also tried the direct ridge from North Peak to Olympia. Next time someone does that, can you retrieve the pound of flesh I left on all the brush

Getting "You do not have sufficient privileges to view the activity with id 246437970." Does one need to have an account? Cheers.

ScottyP,
Hey good luck down there in Antarctica and enjoy your stay at the Dreams del Estrecho. Me? I couldn't get reservations and the money ran out about that time anyway, so I'm just walking out to see the penguins, hah! If you you see Jacob in basecamp, tell him I said "hi."
Bien Ventura,
JM

1,2,3. Dang, I might've kept up with you so weighted down. I'm surprised it's so short a distance. And how did you do a 9.25 mile with 50lbs on?

Jesus, I am climbing with Jacob! The Dreams looks pretty nice by climbing standards! Are you down there? Scott

I'll be down there next month doing the W track at Torres del Paine and (hopefully) climbing some easy volcanos in Districto Lago.
Stay warm,
