Marmots M3 softshell pants for alps?

by akan » Thu Mar 07, 2013 1:33 pm

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with Marmots softshell pants in M3 (scree, rockstar, etc.) for alpine mountaineering and if so, what are your opinions on them? I like some of their designs, but am worried that they won't be windproof enough and able to handle the wide range of temperatures that I would like.

I don't know this specific model, but I and our guide in Chamonix were using Patagonia Alpine Guide and it was very fine (he had the new model and I had the previous version). So anything similar will be fine.
