by Tools_Incoming » Fri Aug 02, 2013 6:40 pm

Completed our "warm up" climb on Mt Washington two weeks ago....feel free to check out the pics and report here: ... 6288-feet/

Thanks to those who helped me (in earlier threads) with route and camp and other recommendations for Washington. Much appreciated!

I took this hike in July this Summer . . . fantastic. Up Lion Head and down Tuckerman's. The weather turned out to be great (except the humidity) and made for an exceptional day. Up and down with a nice, hour long rest at the top to check out the hotel and post office? in just under 7 hours. Slightly discouraging when you find a tourist attraction at the top with hordes of visitors (who drove up) waiting in line for their picture with the summit sign. Comical really... I'd still do it again though, next time maybe the Presidential Traverse!!!??? Ambitious ;)
