Touching the Void thoughts from inside a crevasse on

Ulyana Horodysky had the intention to collect data on particle deposition on Mt. Everest this spring but her expedition was diverted to Himlung Pk in Nepal due to the avalanche on Mt. E.

Himlung Pk, Nepal (7126m) is nearly on the Tibet/Nepal border between Annapurna II and Manaslu. Team member John All while collecting a snow sample( to be examined for soot) from an innocent looking flat area fell 70 feet into a crevasse and despite multiple broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder was able to extricate himself from the crevasse but not before he filmed a selfie description of his plight in the crevasse. Himlung Pk at 28.77 N and 84.42 E is on Google Earth. The phone camera video from the crevasse is in the article or can be gotten from John All's facebook page.

That's funny, thanks.

Actually rapping into crevasses is a pretty cool way to spend a day when you're snow bound in camp. Has anyone ever done that for fun besides me?
