When you say the tent was a replacement due to a problem with the fly, do you mean the canopy since it is a single wall tent? What was the problem? Are these still made with the original canopy material that Bibler used?
The original tent I had was the stormtracker, which was a "3+ season tent" in black diamond's estimation. The issue I had was a stickiness covering the fly and pole sheaths on that tent. It had something to do with the fabric that BD/Bibler chose. From what I could gather, seems like a common issue on about two season's worth of the tent.
When I warrantied the tent, I asked if they would upgrade me to a proper 4 season tent, which they were kind enough to do. I haven't used the tent since then, hence why it's brand new.
I'm not sure if the material is the same as Bibler has always used...I bought my original tent after BD acquired them. They are still branded as Bibler (you can see the tag in one of the photos on my post), but I could see BD changing the supply chain around if they noticed reoccurring issues with fabrics.
