Mount Everest Summit Claims in Doubt

by jedicolin » Tue Jun 28, 2016 7:18 pm

On 8 June, multiple news outlets reported that Pune couple Dinesh and Tarkeshwari Rathod had become the first Indian couple to scale Mount Everest. However, several mountaineers who have been in the field for years say they have found inaccuracies in the couple’s story.

Is Summitpost now AdvertiseColin'sWebsitePost?

This is not even news, it's Buzzfeed.

Buzzfeed are some of the most unscrupulous bastards I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with, and this article is typical of the obviously un-researched crap they spew -- they can't even tell the difference between shoes and gaiters-- so I'm kind of happy to see them getting a taste of their own copyright-violation medicine, but you may want to reconsider reprinting their entire article.

I thought this was a forum for all things mountaineering? Which to me means anyone can join and post mountaineering related news etc. If you or any 'Mods' have a problem with me sharing items from my website then tell me.

As of Buzzfeed, make your own mind up about it. It was the first place I read about the story, its all over the internet. If I posted it from another news site would you have moaned then?

The OP may have been copied news and refer to Colin's site, but if it hadn't been posted in this forum, I wouldn't have known about it. I don't have time to browse all sites on the internet that may or may have some news that might interest me, so I find it convenient to have it here.
