Splitboarders...

by OJ Loenneker » Sun Oct 25, 2009 5:03 am

Hey you splitties, there is now an entire section of the "gear section" devoted to our sport. Get in there and review some of your favorite boards. Make a new section for your favorites that I never added....

Smash it up.

Here you go

I'm just interested in this, because it would be a way to get my snowboarding friends to come and tourski with me.

I have not used the SB Split your own kit personally. I have a friend that did, and his results where pretty good. The only thing about the split your own kit is that once you set your stance and angles, it is sort of permanent.

I only added reviews for products I have actually used, but I made catagories for a whole variety of products.

So, um, don't you need to add a thread on Ape Index and how to measure?

....'cause aren't y'all knuckle-draggers?

I split an old board with the Split Decision kit a few months back. It was super easy to do. I cant wait to try it out, I just hope it holds up to my 260 lbs and my ape-like tendencies. I was also thinking about getting some Spark R&D bindings. They just released a new version that look very nice. Seems like there the way to go.

Oh, LIGHTEN UP!

This has been an ongoing joke passed back and forth between boarders and two-plankers.

Cheez. Stop being so Martha Stewart.

Same to you, I didn't mean anything by it...just rarely have an opportunity to use my favorite emoticon. Cheers

Well, I guess you could call us "knuckle draggers", but I have yet to have my splitboard go "insta-tele " on me in mid turn... Shit, I can transition my splitboard faster than most AT skiers can pull their skins, and fiddle around with their Dynafit heel peices...

But hey, there is also a reason all the two plankers are getting all "fat ski" these days. It's because they are trying to "compete" with snowboard performance in powder.

And lastly, why can't we just have fun with our little sport?

(BTW, I also Tele ski, but of course no one cares that you tele....)
