What place are you referring to ? I think SP's forum threads have been pretty DEAD lately. Makes me want to go outside and frolic in the snow ..

That's right, WE HAVE NO SNOW. Keep forgettin' ... I'm living in Arizona.

Really? Most times I've flown between California and NM this time of year it's looked pretty snowy down below. Maybe it's just a lucky flight path as it sure looks pretty.

You must have been looking down on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Are you sure you weren't flying over Utah ???

One time I flew from Tucson to LA, and boy were my arms tired ..... :D

SP in general, but yeah, the CO and Mexico boards to be sure.

Humphrey's usually has some snow in the winter. There's definitely about a foot of it here at 8,000' in Northern CO.

You oughta be in the sunny bay area Larry. It was 70 today and crystal clear. Yesterday we had high winds with gusts up to 60 above 1,000'. Although nothing like conditions on Neptune where temps drop to minus 360 degrees f and wind speeds reach 550 mph. That would keep James T. Kirk Enterprise bound, watching Flash Gordon reruns, quite hesitant to boldly go where no man has gone before.

Bill is referring to the thread X which was later changed to Y.

Bill, we'd have to start with a different letter as the Z thread was already started. :D

Alpine tundra soils support a very active microbial community during the winter where the snow is deep enough.

I move that someone starts a thread about republicans, guns, Newt, taxes and the planet Pluto to stir things up a bit! :o

Last year and years before it was still normal to make mountainpages and trip reports in winter. Nowadays no new stuff is popping up ...

SP is still the best website for me due to its database of mountains and routes, no longer to get feedback, ideas and help with a problem ...

SP is obviously dying ...

Thank God that in dire times like this we can all count of active contributors like you
