1. The title was "I have heard from Climbwild!" Husker had received an email from him, and it stated that he had soloed some route on Mount Shasta and had the sunburn to prove it. So Husker copied it and posted it in the OP. The joking started almost right away after that, and the line became a legend.

Yes, that ought to earn bonuspoints...

But brought to us by Husker; climbwild had emailed him.

Do I get bonus points?

If I had only been so honored! Bob are you suggesting I couldnt have had an original thought? I said it upon my return from a banning-the one before my deletion.
where I started it "I've been away on vacation, and I have the sunburn to prove it"

I don't remember that thread you are talking about.

You really don't remember? You started a classic thread; shame on you for forgetting!

And do you really think I think you couldn't have an original thought? After all the wild stuff you posted, splitting my sides more than once? This from the man who wrote the peanut butter masterpiece? :D

Damn-- now I can't ask "Who got deleted for writing about peanut butter?"

I was a spectator in that thread, but I seem to remember it was some dude wearing a bandana who had a buddhist quote about mastering yourself on his page. But most of his posts were like:

I AM NOT ANGRY YOU PISSANT I WILL KICK YOUR SORRY GERMAN ASS OVER THE STRAITS OF GIBRALTAR!

...to be fair, Charles was poking him a lot.

I want to say climb14ers? Or climba14er? I'm close, right?

And the sunburn to prove it quote... damn that was good, but I can't remember the climb he referred to. Wasn't it something on Hood or Shasta? I remember DMT making the comment that it took way too long, but it's been too many days to remember the rest....

Yup. Doesn't look like he's been active since about then either.

Can't say I blame him. His BP must've been hovering dangerously high during that exchange.

...I did notice he changed the buddhist quote. :)

Charles
:D

That whole patriot holster thing was the funniest damned thread ever on PnP. Especially when Corey Stelling (as he was then known) posted a dancing bear into the middle of the raging flame war.
