Pik 26 Bakinskikh Komisarov (6834 m) S and SE Face - one of the highest walls in the Pamirs (2200m). Three routes lead through the peak's south side, ranging from 5B to 6A. Taken from summit of Shipka Pik (6254m). Yazgulem Range, Tajikistan. August 2009.

North face

Mauro Rumez, an italian extreme skier who passed away in 1999 on the Ortles, was dreaming to ascend & descend (with ski) the north face. Does anyone know about any expedition on the north face (approach from the Fedchenko glacier) ?

The north face is full of ice and does not look inviting. The approach there is very long, requiring several days in a torn glacier (to get to the Fedchenko proper). South side is much faster to get to. I will be in the area this year again, and open to projects there.
