Pink Mountain Heather (Phyllodoce empetriformis)

Pink Mountain Heather (Phyllodoce empetriformis)

Pink mountain heather is common in higher elevations of mountains where it grows in subalpine forests as well as open meadows. Its range extends from Alaska to California and east to the Rocky Mountains from Alberta to Colorado. This is probably our most common species of mountain heather.
