One of my first 'peaks' after moving to Seattle two months prior
Great winter leg-stretcher - surprised by the number of people on the trail.
Another peak with EastKing and CascadeCohen.
Former lookout site and location of choice to wear the traveling hockey jersey. Nice & short calorie burner.
Hiked up the logging road to summit. 4.5 km total distance according to my GPS.
Front side, back side, goat trail,,, all of them hundreds of times. Doubles and even a few triples!
Easy half hour workout
Nice after work stroll with snowy conditions.
Many years ago while following the 100 Hikes list.
Had a half-day layover at Seatac, spent $20 on a rental car, and bagged this cute little peak. Sure beats sitting in the airport!
Went with my father-in-law. Great time!
Easy and short
Been up several times, the first was when I rode my bicycle from Federal Way to climb, long before I could drive a car. Another time was while working on a Fire Crew in Enumclaw. If we couldn't make it up in a specific time frame we were fired! Last time was with the kids, shown at Pinnacle Peak
Fun early morning hike with my old dog. It did remind me on how out of shape I'm in.
good like early season west side hike
I've been up and down this one a few times. I used to live in Auburn and it was one of the original "100 Hikes" in the very first 100 Hikes book by Ira Spring and Harvey Manning. My wife and I worked our way through many of those original hikes but this one was always easy to do when the snow blocked everything higher up.
I am finally starting to get back into hiking again.
Did this one with my wife, my friend and his family. Check out the trip report link.
